Nelson Mandela .

Time line:

in  1918 he was born in south Africa.
in 1951 to 1960 Nelson Mandela was arrested and jailed  twice for being a leader of the (ANC).
in 1960 the government killed many black people for protesting against apartheid.
in 1963 the government sent him to prison.
in 1964 an election was held. black people were allowed to vote.
in 1991 he became president of the (ANC).
in 1999 Mandela retired as president and being helping other countries solve their problems.
in 2013 he died.



Turning points:

  He had spent 27 years in jail than in 1991 he became president of the ( A N C)
in 1999 Mandela retired as president ,and began helping other countries.
 and also in he led many protests against the government's apartheid policy.


Achievement :

he got a Nobel prize.
he became president of the (A N C ).
he defend from black people right . for  example right for voting , use the public facilities ...........
